How's my Triangle?
It is easy to lose the benefits of a pose reaching for the fullest expression of the pose. Triangle should have your bottom hand on the floor, right? If you have that range of motion and can maintain the integrity of the pose a hand on the floor is perfect. But if your bottom knee is bent and you are rounded over your leg, we have lost the benefits of the pose.
A stable Triangle is opening the hips, chest and shoulders while strengthening the legs. We often practice this pose at the wall to experience that opening. Bottom hand is placed first on the leg, then the block (three heights to use) before coming to the floor. And maybe you never get your hand to the floor. Remember that's not what it is about. It is about opening and strength.
