Do You Spend All Day Sitting?

Most of us do. You may have heard the sitting is considered the new smoking because of the negative effects it has on the body.


All day we sit - in our car, at a desk, during meetings and at home. Some of us will take breaks from the computer. Often the break ends up being seated while playing on our phone.


A lot of what we do in class helps:

-Shoulders over hips, sitting up tall

-Gaze lifted to keep the shoulders open

-Stretching the hamstrings


Try these during your day:

-When stopped at a red light, take your hands off the steering wheel and let the shoulders relax.

-When sitting at your desk keep your shoulders over your hips instead of rounding forward.

-Take a break (without your phone) to get up and walk around.
